In 2024 the West Vancouver Police Department (WVPD) and the District of West Vancouver’s Cultural Services Department collaborated to develop a new wrap for the WVPD community services team vehicle. The vehicle is used to participate in community events across the province.
A Call to Artists was released and 18 submissions were received. A review panel comprised of members of the District’s Public Art Advisory Committee and the WVPD reviewed the submissions and chose West Vancouver artist, Bany Declair to complete the work. Bany Declair painted over ten original pieces of art to create the design for the vehicle and worked with the vehicle wrap company to piece together the paintings into digital artwork to create this very detailed and unique wrap.
